Comprehensive Chinese 2

We are not currently offering community Chinese classes.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  Please check back for updated course listings at a later date.

Comprehensive Chinese 2 is a continuation of Comprehensive Chinese 1, in a series of non-credit classes that will cover listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Chinese. In this course, students will continue to improve pronunciation, practice using Pinyin and Chinese characters, and acquire more complex phrases for oral communication. Reading lessons will include practical skills such as reading signs. The course content will include phrases suitable to business settings as well as those for less formal interactions.
Students may participate in an optional assessment at the end of the course. Students who pass the assessment will be given a certificate of completion. At the completion of Comprehensive Chinese 2, students may also be prepared to take the HSK Level 1 exam.

  • Duration: 12 weeks, one session per week, 1.5 hours per session.
  • Course fee: $200, includes instructional materials.
