Mid Autumn Festival-中秋节

One of the traditions in China during the Mid Autumn Festival is to go outside and read poetry under the light of the moon. This website has 300 lovely Tang Dynasty poems translated from Chinese into English for you to read and help you to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival.

One of the most widely practiced (and delicious) traditions of the Mid Autumn festival is to enjoy moon cakes and tea with friends and family while taking in the beauty of the moon. Below are a list of vendors who sell moon cakes within the Kansas City metro area:

888 International Market
10118 W 119th St, Overland Park, KS 66210

Pan-Asia Market
11940 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66213

Formosa Bakery
2201 W 25th St, Lawrence, KS 66047
